Case Study: OTC Group Drives Solution for Pharma Packaging
The Xerox Automated Packaging Solutions (XAPS) provides OTC Group with printing, coating, stacking and die cutting all in-line and allows the production of folding cartons with Xerox MicroText. Theft and counterfeiting of medications has an estimated financial toll estimated to be between $75 billion and $200 billion worldwide. OTC Group has developed a workflow that allows for the application of UPI and AIDC tracking information to be applied at the time of printing, eliminating the possibility of packaging theft between the printing and packaging process.
